I'm Racquelle Pakutz your journey guide and I look forward to learning and growing with you. I hike for my own mental health, wellness, overall physical health and to share my story of resilience along the way.
I didn't always have an active lifestyle -- Actually I was quite sedentary until I found a love for hiking! Prior to that I feel like I tried it all in search of the perfect fit; gym memberships, group workout classes, heck I was even a member of our local crossfit box for a while! However I didn't find my true love and calling until 2018 when we first visited and hiked in Estes Park, Colorado!
A few short years ago I was very unhappy with myself and my life as it was. I am sure from the outside looking in I had it all figured out. But at the age of 30 I found myself on depression and anxiety medicine and still it seemed I couldn't find the feeling of "happiness". I felt STUCK in my life, stuck in a body I didn't want, and overall I felt helpless. This feeling of being STUCK and HELPLESS was a living HELL.
Through lots of trial and error, listening to many podcasts and reading over 40 audio books on self help; the human body, mindfulness, spirituality, and more I found myself on a path of wellness and healing!
Since 2018 I have been on a mission to getting UNSTUCK and living my dream life.
As it is now 2021 and I look back and see how far I've come I am astonished and excited to share my journey in hopes of inspiring YOU to take the action steps needed to attain whatever goal it is you have!

Forest bathing and forest therapy (or shinrin-yoku) broadly means taking in, in all of one's senses, the forest atmosphere. Not simply a walk in the woods, it is the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest.
There is nothing more grounding than nature itself. And taking yourself into nature with the right intentions can not only be extremely freeing, but even transformative. Adding breath work and body movement into the mix can truly change your relationship with yourself.
